Exhibition of the Baltic countries’ artists opens in “The Universe of Water”


On March 15 at 16.00 an exhibition of contemporary artists from Baltic countries will open in Vodokanal’s museum complex “The Universe of Water” at 56 Shpalernaya St. The Exhibition is timed to the ХIIth International Environmental Forum “The Baltic Sea Day” which will also host round table meetings and other events with participants from all the Baltic Sea countries. The visitors of the Exhibition to be held in the right wing of the Water Tower of “The Universe of Water” Museum will be able to get acquainted with the works of art by Edwardas Malinauskas (Lithuania), Agatha Novoshelsky (Poland), Bernt Wilke (Germany), Evgeny Titov (Russia) and others. These artists work in the traditional classical style - realism, as well as in modern trends in art. The visitors will see seascapes of the Baltic Sea, created in various artistic manners and expressing different conditions of the sea – from amazing calmness to a raging force and chaos.

The organizers of the Exhibition are SUE “Vodokanal of Saint-Petersburg”, Saint-Petersburg administration, Nordstream Company, The Council of Ministers of the Nordic Countries, the Consulates of Sweden, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Poland.

The entrance to the Exhibition is free from March 15 until April 15. The museum complex works Wednesday through Sunday (Monday and Tuesday are days-off). Expositions and exhibitions are open from 10.00 to 20.00.
